Uncanny Jenny – Live Audio Visual Performance
with Paul Gründorfer (audio), Reka Kutas (audio) and Claudia Larcher
(video)

After the surge of avant-garde, provocative and sometimes subversive movements, Austria has been experiencing a new effervescence on the experimental scene for a number of years. At film festivals, Austrian films and other audiovisual productions often stand out for their style or technical mastery. In fact, the artists and filmmakers participating in this experimental revival are much more involved in formal and sensory quests than their predecessors. Very often the films are made in collaboration with musicians and sound artists who also participate in this great artistic laboratory that is teeming in Austria. And then there are the groups, the collectives, the networks. For example, Velak, with whom we are organising these two evenings, is a platform that brings together musicians, video artists and performers who experiment with sound, video and other media. Established as a non-profit association, it organises regular events and parties.
