Claudia Larcher trained her GAN called "Artificial Assistant No 2" with her complete series of works "Baumeister" (2011 - 2021). The artificial assistant now creates her/his own images based on what she/he has learned. The work questions the relationship between artist and computer at a time when automation is reinventing almost every industry.

The five-part series is a combination of a digital fine art print and an analogue screen print. The five black and white motifs are created by an artificial intelligence (AI), which is based on the series Baumeister (2011 - 2021), a series of paper collages by the artist.
AI generated the different motifs on the basis of what she/he had learned.
These five artificially created images were in turn analyzed by image analysis software, another AI. The red image descriptions were exposed on a screen and printed over the printed art prints in signal red color. This work questions the relationship between artist and computer, between analogue and digital.
